Brief information of the Organization:
The Anallon Christian Development Committee is a conglomerate of committed Christian individuals who formed into a group in the year 1975 to initiate development activities in hard-to-reach reveal areas and tribal habitations of Chandel District in Manipur of Northeastern region of India. It consists of a team of educationists and social activists with wide and varied social experience. It's ideal is to generate development, that is socially just, economically viable, culturally vibrant and relevant to the regional ethos and the reference area. The core issue addressed by Anallon Christian Development Committee since its inception were imparting education to the tribal children, setting up residential school for imparting quality education for unlettered pastoral communities, developing livelihood skills for youths and empowering women in enhancing their social status and decision-making power and indulging in issue-based campaign against gender discrimination, primary healthcare and sanitation education etc. We perceive education as a means of advancement of capacity and opportunity for these marginalized communities.
